Fire up your football collection with this pair of Baltimore Colts commemoratives. Celebrating the team’s high point of back to back NFL championships in 1958 and 1959 are (2) well-preserved souvenirs with:
Flip type lighter (NM) measures 2 x 1-1/2” at the base and stands 3-1/4” tall. Stainless steel matte finish surface is engraved on the front with “Baltimore Colts 1958-1959 World Champions” and “Valley Country Club” on the lower section. Upper section is affixed with the customary “Colt holding football” logo lid opens smoothly, striker wheel functions as intended and the wick is clean, giving the impression this lighter has never been used. The underside of the base is covered in felt and there are two markings inside the lid with “3” and overlapped letters that appear to be “P, C”.
Souvenir ashtray (NM) approximately 3/4” deep with 5-3/8” diameter. Appears to be made of pewter, top features raised lettering, with: Baltimore Colts World Champs” on the rim and “Champions NFL 1958” with “Colt leaping a goalpost” design on the bowl. Underside raised letterings reads “First Sudden-Death Playoffs in N.F.L. History-Dec.28. 1958” on the rim and “Yankee Stadium. New York Official Results Colts 0-14-0-3-6-23, Giants 3-0-7-7-0-17” on the bowl, indicating the score by quarters and the total 23-17.
