”Dodger blue” long before they migrated to Los Angeles, the Brooklyn “Bums” are the subjects of these rare 1940s-1950s publications and artifacts. Highlights include:


1941 World Series Scorecard: a thick-stock folded scorecard issued by the Brooklyn Eagle features team photos and pre-printed lineups (presents VG).


1940 World Series Scorecard Booklet – Black Version: an ultra-rare keepsake! This booklet features blank scoring grids for three games (presumably Games 3, 4 and 5 in Brooklyn) and advertisements/photos from black-owned establishments (presents VG with vertical compacting fold).


1916 N.L. Champion Dodgers Testimonial Dinner Program: issued at the St. George Hotel following Game 3 of the 1949 World Series in Brooklyn, the four-page program features black-and-white team photos of the 1916 and 1949 Dodger clubs with a blank back page to facilitate autographs.  


1951 “Welcome Home” Pre-Season Dinner Program: issued at the April 16, 1951 “Dodger Knot-Hole Club” dinner, presents (VG) with autographs (graphite pencil, average “8” strength) from Abrams, Bankhead, Barney, Branca, Bridges, Brown, Cox, B. Edwards, H. Edwards, Erskine, Hatten, Hermanski, Lavagetto, Newcombe and Scully
