Description

Pete Cera worked for the Phillies organization from 1953 to 1998. At times he was the trainer, traveling secretary, clubhouse attendant, equipment manager, well, you get the idea; he was the mainstay of the Phillies for 45 years. I can’t even imagine living in the same city for 45 years, much less working for the same company. Ol’ Pete must have been quite a person. I’m not sure whether Pete painted this ball himself, or whether the ball was gifted to him, but in either case, it was part of him. With the stampings removed, the painted ball has some moderate toning spots and is signed by 21.
